How SureMedico verifies doctors and dentists
Every account is manually checked against the NMC, the Dental Council of India, or the relevant state medical council before it can post, apply, or appear on any directory.
Why verification matters
SureMedico is a private, professional-only network. Clinics looking to hire need to know the applicant actually holds the qualifications they claim. Doctors browsing the Job Board need to know the clinic exists and the offer is real. Generic job sites rely on profile claims; we don't.
What happens after you register
- Council lookup. Admin opens the public registry of the council you specified — NMC (National Medical Commission), DCI (Dental Council of India), or the appropriate state medical council — and searches for your registration number. Your full name on the registry must match the one on your SureMedico profile.
- Document review (clinic owners + associates). Clinic owners submit a clinic-proof document (gumasta, clinic licence, or GST). Associate doctors and dentists applying to Job Board postings must upload a CV (PDF, up to 5 MB) before applying. These documents are visible only to admin and to clinics whose job posting you've applied to — never to the public directory.
-
Admin flip. If everything checks out, admin flips
is_admin_verified=True. You can post jobs, apply to vacancies, message other members, and your profile becomes visible on the relevant directory. - SLA: 24 hours on weekdays. Most registrations clear within a few hours. Saturdays and Sundays may take longer.
Suspension & misconduct
Any verified doctor can flag a fraudulent job posting, a doctor profile that looks suspicious, or a vendor / maintenance listing that's misrepresented. Admin reviews flags within 24 hours. Suspended accounts are blocked from:
- Posting new Job Board vacancies
- Applying to any open vacancy
- Being reached via the SOS emergency network
- Appearing on the Find Associates / Find Consultants / Nearby Clinics directories
- Sending or receiving in-app chat messages
Suspension reasons are recorded for admin audit and shown to the doctor when they next sign in. Reinstatement is at admin discretion.
Anonymous doctor-to-doctor reviews
Verification proves the doctor exists and is licensed. It does not prove they're a good fit for your clinic. To layer community signal on top, any verified doctor can leave an anonymous review on any other doctor's profile — as a clinic owner, as a fellow associate, as a consultant who's shared a chair, or just generally. Reviews are public-anonymous: the reviewer's identity is recorded for admin audit but never exposed in the API response or on the public profile. Submitting again replaces the existing review on the same (reviewer, reviewee, context) pair.
Privacy posture — what's never exposed
SureMedico's privacy line is "doctor data is doctor-only". Specifically:
- Doctor directories (associates, consultants, clinics, vendors, technicians, doctor profiles) are sign-in walled. Search engines and patients cannot see them.
- Phone numbers on Job Board applications reveal only when a clinic picks an applicant — both sides see each other's number at the same time.
- CV PDFs are visible only to clinics whose job the doctor has applied to.
- Review authors are public-anonymous; admin can audit, public cannot.
- WhatsApp OTP login means no password to leak; the OTP code expires in 5 minutes and tolerates only 5 attempts before lockout.
